Stanislav Petrov was on duty in a bunker in USSR in 1983 when computer reported one, then up to 5, inbound ballistic missles. He broke protocol and did not reciprocate with full release of Russian missles. Ended up saving the world from World War III and got forced into retirement for it.

Yes, he really did say that.  But no, he didn’t say that in response to healthcare changes he was planning.  Here’s the article.

But his healthcare plan is, in plain truth, all about fairness.  It won’t matter how hard you work or how picky you are with your employer.  Everyone will be entitled to equal healthcare.  Now, I agree that we all should get great care but I do expect each of us to make an effort to get it.  And if you choose to make no (or limited) effort, you should be rewarded (in true Darwinian style) with no healthcare.
